One of these communities can be found in R\u0203ndunelelor Street, in the Bozia\u015f district. R\u0203ndunelelor Street is the street we work in.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-bf6d900 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"bf6d900\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-fb8dae4\" data-id=\"fb8dae4\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-9f66ee3 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"9f66ee3\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Laleaua Ministry: history<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-c1ebb88 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"c1ebb88\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">In December 1999, a group of young adults visited T\u00e2rn\u0103veni to distribute Christmas gifts among the Roma. This was the initial introduction to <a href=\"#Roma\">the Roma community in R\u0203ndunelelor Street, Bozia\u015f district, T\u00e2rn\u0103veni. <\/a><\/span><\/p><p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">During the visits to <a href=\"#Roma\">this community<\/a> and the confrontation with dire poverty and hopelessness the words from Hosea 4:6 sprang to mind: <i>My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge<\/i>. This text laid the foundation for the work of Laleaua Ministry.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">On October 1 2001 the <i>Romanian Association Laleaua<\/i> was founded, resulting in the start of the <i>Dutch Laleaua Foundation<\/i>.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Up to this day the activities are focused on this Roma community of R\u0203ndunelelor Street. The<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>gospel resonates in each and every program. Initially the focus was mainly on education, nowadays social and medical issues receive structural attention also.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-9d82d56 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"9d82d56\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-wider\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-c46f2fb\" data-id=\"c46f2fb\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-6dcaa1d elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"6dcaa1d\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Preschool<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-8e934af elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"8e934af\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>In april 2002 opende Laleaua voor het eerst de deuren van <a href=\"https:\/\/laleaua.nl\/cmccr\/de-kleuterschool\/\">de kleuterschool<\/a>, die nu jaarlijks plaats biedt aan 33 Roma-kleuters. In 2015 werd <a href=\"https:\/\/laleaua.nl\/cmccr\/de-kleuterschool\/\">de kleuterschool<\/a> geaccrediteerd en verwierf daarmee tevens financi\u00eble steun van de Roemeense overheid.<\/p><p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">April 2002 saw the opening of the <i>Laleaua Ministry <a href=\"https:\/\/laleaua.nl\/cmccr\/de-kleuterschool\/\">Preschool<\/a><\/i>, which now is visited by 33 Roma toddlers annually. In 2015 the <a href=\"https:\/\/laleaua.nl\/cmccr\/de-kleuterschool\/\">preschool<\/a> was accredited by the Romanian educational authorities and was therefore able to receive financial support from the Romanian government.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-0e12f2a\" data-id=\"0e12f2a\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1b309d2 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"1b309d2\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">After School<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-6535ad6 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"6535ad6\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">When the first young children left preschool to go to elementary school, <i>Laleaua Ministry <\/i>started its <a href=\"https:\/\/laleaua.nl\/cmccr\/after-school\/\">After School program<\/a>, which initially helped children do their homework. This proofed to be insufficient. By developing a method for teaching the Romanian language and arithmetic adapted to the level of the individual child, the program changed into a remedial teaching program. Yearly about 40 to 50 children participate in this program.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-3cd06a1 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"3cd06a1\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-36214ba\" data-id=\"36214ba\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ad41efb elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"ad41efb\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Care Foundation<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-633dd6f elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"633dd6f\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">In September 2010, with the start of <i>Care Foundation<\/i> <a href=\"https:\/\/laleaua.nl\/cmccr\/sociale-assistentie\/\">social<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/laleaua.nl\/cmccr\/medische-hulpverlening\/\">medical<\/a> issues which the Roma community was and is struggling with received more attention. <i>Care Foundation<\/i> started a program called the <a href=\"https:\/\/laleaua.nl\/cmccr\/de-mariniersclub\/\"><i>Marines Club<\/i><\/a>, which teaches Roma youngsters better social skills, and its help them put into practice the things they have learned. Thus <i>Laleaua Ministry<\/i> and <i>Care Foundation<\/i> serve and complement each other. Two <a href=\"https:\/\/laleaua.nl\/cmccr\/meidenclub\/\"><i>Girls\u2019 Clubs<\/i><\/a> and one <a href=\"https:\/\/laleaua.nl\/cmccr\/jongensclub\/\"><i>Boys\u2019 Club<\/i><\/a> resulted from this cooperation.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">From then on, <a href=\"https:\/\/laleaua.nl\/cmccr\/medische-hulpverlening\/\">medical<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/laleaua.nl\/cmccr\/sociale-assistentie\/\">social<\/a> problems within families started receiving structural attention, and, if necessary, were supported or coached. <\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-117bdf2 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"117bdf2\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-8b60e47\" data-id=\"8b60e47\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-97df778 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"97df778\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Going forward united<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-474af66 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"474af66\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Over time the <i>Laleaua Foundation<\/i> and the <i>Care Foundation<\/i> developed the idea to continue as one organisation. We minister the same people and have the same goal: showing the Roma community, and especially the children, the teens and the young adults, the gospel of Jesus Christ and God\u2019s grace for all. We believe that this good news turns around people\u2019s lives and gives them a new perspective.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"p1\"><em><span class=\"s1\">In 2020 we started our cooperation, and in 2021 we will be united in all of our ministry, in Romania and the Netherlands! These surroundings have a strong impact on the child\u2019s development. The surroundings determine which learning experiences a child has. The \u2018surroundings\u2019 has a broad variety of meanings: it contains the people who raise the child, the parents and other family members, and also its physical surroundings.<br \/><br \/><\/span><\/li><li class=\"li1\"><span class=\"s2\">If guardians and educators communicate little with a child and if there little availability of learning materials (books, puzzles, etc), there is a considerable risk a child will have to deal with backlogs in its linguistic development. Not being able to read is the reason many doors remain closed. All educational efforts after they have reached the age of seven almost always prove to be futile. All the more reason to concentrate on educating preschool children. <\/span><\/p><p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Children are trusting, curious and faithful to adults. This means greater responsibilities from adults \u2013 also in the things they tell children.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Children have a right to develop themselves. Therefore it is in the children\u2019s interest not to receive less assistance, but more. A school therefore has to offer more educational opportunities and linguistic remedial teaching.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">It is also in the interest of society to overcome this vicious cycle. Children get a chance to study and obtain diplomas, and as a result have a future.
